We’re getting ready for Race #2 on Monday May 19 in North Vancouver.
The past week has been spent getting in the ‘training groove” while finding time to visit old friends, make new friends, visiting family; golfing; learning more about social media; and planning week 3 including interviews in Prince George.

We met a lovely young lady on the ferry from Nanaimo….she saw our ‘Tri’ing’ hoodies and googled our story. She came over to us, apologizing, with tears about to spill from her eyes. Her mom passed away 10 years ago and she was very moved by our story. We were moved by hers. We’re very honoured to have people - strangers but not really - share their stories, their grief and sorrow with us.
We also met the race director for the race in Prince George! He’s staying at the same RV park as we are and doing the North Shore race as well. He saw our Tri’ing trailer and introduced himself. We’d previously emailed each other so it was great to put a face to a name. Plus, now we have another connection in PG!
These first two weeks have been a primer for the weeks to come. So far we have not had to travel a great distance between races….that changes over the next four weeks. North Vancouver to Prince George to Oliver to Echo Lake is 3000 kilometer and then the fun really begins………
