We were finally able (and willing!) to hit the community pool for a swim workout. I know, crazy talk! But we did it, and enjoyed a nice hot tub after – boy, that sure felt good.

The air quality leading up to race day was pretty bad so this turned out be the last workout for the week.

On our way to Echo Valley Provincial Park, our new home for the next few nights, we passed some serious looking farm equipment, giving him lots of room.

This park is pretty, lots of trees – and lots of cottonwood fluff……

…..and mosquitoes, so we set up our pop up and the mesh walls, just in time to watch game 4 of the Stanley Cup.

Saturday was the Regina Move to Cure ALS walk, put on by ALS Saskatchewan and many volunteers. Lots of people were there, including a big contingent from the Isted family (Cody is a Tri’ing Teammate).

We were interviewed by French CBC – luckily in English! Then the Isted clan welcomed us to their family BBQ, and boy, do they know how to feed people! We "carbed out" on salads, hamburgers and maybe an ice cream bar.

We had another 'this why we need to do this" moment at the walk; ALS Sakatchewan does not get any funding from the provincial government. They provide substantial funding to several other diseases/causes but have, for several years, not seen the need to provide even subsistence level funding to the ALS Society.....this needs to change.

Sunday was Race #5

All three of us had good races. Cody beat his estimated time, Donna was second overall in the woman's division and I finished. Racing three weekends in a row took a toll on the run.

DQ Blizzards to celebrate our 34th year wedding Anniversary! I’m so very lucky and grateful to have Mike sharing this amazing journey with me. (but it is only Day 41 of 140 😊) Love you honey!

Right back at you babe. The two of us make a great team.
