The past few days have been relaxing – the calm before the storm. We got into the routine of doing morning stretches and weights,

went to the Exploration Place to see dinosaurs,

and, oh yeah, raced today!

Prince George Triathlon is a great community race! Clayton Wilkinson, Race Director, and his team did a great job including all ages, with the youngest being 4 (or maybe even younger) and the oldest….well, that’d be Mike and me at 64 and 60. Lots of volunteers were out and us old folks got lots of cheers. Maybe that was because we helped at race package stuffing and swam at two of the tri club’s practices, so they knew who we were. Mike had his speediest run in a long time and to my total surprise, I was the fastest female over 16 (and yes, there was more than me racing 😊). We’re two tired puppies tonight!
The PG community has been very supportive, from media, to local retailers (@Northern Hart Design provided us with travel mugs engraved with our Tri’ing logo), to the tri club welcoming us to their swim practices, to Northern Experience RV Park providing a great place for us to call home for the past week. Kristi Francis, Move to Cure ALS walk coordinator, was on hand to cheer us on, giving high-fives and hugs and snapping these pictures.
Tomorrow we’re doing our first long drive test, going to Oliver for Race #4.
